The first episode I ever saw was The Witch and I fell in love with the show, basically because there was no other show like it around...it was funny, dramatic, suspenseful, it had everything! It was during a time in my life when I was really depressed, my family was in turmoil and I was having a tough time at school, so Buffy became my escape from all that, and now every time I watch the show it makes me feel better, it's weird, I know, but Buffy is my safety blanket

I think a lot of Btvs fans have used the show as a safety blanket (hope they've washed that blanket ) I know I have, I had a hard time growing up (I didn't live on the mean streets of the bronx or anything, just in general, school, life etc.) and btvs was sort of a espape from it all, I also felt that I could Identify with a lot of the characters, like Buffy for instance, Ok I'm not a vampire slayer, I've never died, but I knew how she left in season 6 and the rest of the series, I did get emotionally involved with the show ( NOOO SPIKE WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE A HERO!!!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE RUN OFF WITH BUFFY! ahem *Calms down*) but I think we could all identify with the characters including Buffy, even if some of them were demons, they were very Human in some aspects, it was a fantastic show (and so was its spin off) and the fact that people did use it as a safety blanket and it made them feel better, and happier shows how fantastic the actors of the show and the writers were Welcome to the site, also I love your icons, Jen (buffypurple12) is a fantastic icon maker
