Experiences, and the love of a short blonde woman, are what shaped his "redemption".

It's true. She seemed to equate soul with conscience.

yeah David Fury said he was better than Angel too, I do think he is better than Angel, he might speak his mind and Angel might brood, but Spike Owns yo!
without the soul, Spike was more good, yes they both killed and they were evil, but Spike would save a human he cared deeply about and Angel would have said "human? like whateverz!" (because Angel used to be a 12 year old Airhead) lets talk Buffy! Angel went evil and tried to kill her, Spike was evil, tried to kill her, couldn't, so he annoyed her then he fell in love with her but at the end of the day if souless Angel and Souless Spike were in the same room as Buffy, Angel would try to kill her and Spike would save her.
