The chimney sweep outfit is being fitted as we speak...or type. In this season 8 film when a vampire dusts does he just fall out of frame of the camera? Or are the special effects the same as BTVS? I bet they could be. Buffy's specials effects were always a bit naff.  |

I doubt it. That would be copyrighted wouldn't it? Even thought people do it all the time for music videos.
There could be a silent movie type theme to it, with Buffy staking the vampire and then a black screen with writing coming up saying "Le Poof". But then that might get a bit confusing.

somehow morphing various different dustings could be a way round it i like the silent movie idea with facescontorted in horror at the 'Le Poof'. |

Oh No!! the effects in FM are pretty close to proffesional.... no falling out of frame. in FM, there are 2 main vampire fights...one is from afar, and therefore you dont see him, or his staking.. but the one in the opening scene, with buffy fighting the vampire, you do see his full staking...and it's gonna look pretty cool!!!! I cant wait to see the whole thing and scrutinise every spec of Vampire dust ! Whens the finished article going to be premiered ? is there a deadline youre racing towards ?  |

To tell you the truth, i don't think i would watch it. And it's not because it doesn't look good, because it does, it's just that if Buffy continued (even if it's only for one episode), i'd want it to be with the exact same characters. It would just be kind of hard to sit there and see characters that we didn't come to love. And i think Joss is an excellent writer. And no matter how good the other writer may be....it isn't Joss, therefore, it isn't really Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I'll take whatever I can get. And plenty of the writers on Buffy and Angel wrote brilliant episodes and they weren't Joss Whedon. Unless he really wrote every ep cos he was such an egotist and just changed his name! |

Oh i know like Drew Goddard, Jane Espenson, and David Fury, plus many more. I meant that it just wouldn't be the same as the writers that we are so used too.

Hey Guys,
I am kind of trying to get a screening happening in Sydney, Australia (where I live)...but I'm going to try and get a cast member from the show to MC the event or be a special guest... so I'm kind of working on that right now... we are jsut working to get the film totally finished right now...special effects are almost finished as is behind the scenes and I am doing a cast commentary next monday so it is coming along quite well.
MsWillowRosenberg- I totally understand where you are coming from. I myself have never and probably will never see a fan film!! and i'd hate to think that a 'world' like the buffyverse is being put out there by a bunch of fans. that is partly why i made "Forgotten Memories"- most fan films are either done relaly poorly or are parodys of the show. meanwhile FM is different and I have tried to create a different world within the buffyverse as when we see these characters again, they have all grown and changed.. there are even new characters!!! I dont claim to even be 1/4 as talented as joss but i do belive that the stories in FM are really important, and i hope you guys will agree with me when you see it!!

Oh. Good point. People could buy copies of the film on DVD and then pay to get them signed by him...even though he's not in it. ... Oh nevermind, just get Tom Lenk instead |
