Spike flopped down on his couch, his head cradled in his hands.
'Why can't she bleeding get it? I love that sodding bitch!'
He wanted to give her a few home truths. That she needs someone to carry the load, to take care of her.
He wants to be that someone if only he can convince her. Prove his love and devotion. Make her see that it's real and not some shitty scheme cooked up by his demon. So, why can't she see?
What's stopping her from REALLY seeing?

How can Buffy be so hot and cold at the same time? How can she send him so many mixed signals. First she cares, then she doesn't, then she does. This is getting far too much to handle. He's William the Bloody, he shouldn't have to be reduced to a sack of shit by some she devilish slayer. What the hell!?!

Yes, at one time he would have, but he's not the same vampire anymore. He's not a killing maniac, he's not a poof like Angelus, so what exactly is he?
