Go stag, or with friends. It's much more fun to go with friends. You end up running barefoot over a field. Really. WARNING!! I'M ABOUT TO START RANTING!!!You see... that was gonna be the plan. But *sighs* my mom and my sister's friend really want me to go with my friend who graduated last year. My mom met him a few weeks ago and can't stop talking about how much she wants me to go out with him (ew). Well he heard about all that and my sister's friend gave him the idea to ask me to Prom so he ended up writing in chalk on my driveway: Sayla Join me at Prom Joe Please? Call meIt didn't even look like his handwriting, heh. And now I'm all mad cuz of all the attention I'm getting every time someone comes over and I just want it to flippin' rain so it's not written there anymore. I'm thinking of just pulling out the garden hose on it actually. lol. But anyway I said yes cuz I figured I'll prolly have fun with him and his friends and I'll hopefully just meet up with my friends at the Prom. And I'm basically being pressured into all this by my mom and my sister's friend... and my sister. I'm very unhappy though cuz everyone is making a big deal and I truly hate all the attention and having to answer all these questions like "what are you gonna wear?" "where are you guys gonna eat before Prom?" and "what are you gonna do after?" cuz I have no idea. And my mom is talking about all the pix she's gonna take with him and me and I DON'T WANT MY PROM PIC TO BE WITH HIM. That sounds mean but yeah. And then I realized today that we're probably gonna have to dance together and then I was thinking about how I've never slow danced with anyone and I'll probably have to there and I don't want him to be my first slow dance partner!! One day I should just randomly start slow dancing with one of my guys friends before Prom. lol. It just feels like nobody cares what I want no matter how many times I say it. All my mom says is "you can't always get what you want" WELL WTF? This is my Senior Prom and I should flippin' get to go with who I want to go with but I'm too much of a damn push-over to do anything more than I've done about it. And I'm probably going to see Will (the guy I REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY like who is in that band) there dancing with another girl and I don't think I can handle that. Sorry. End of Rant. If you read it all thanks. Holy crap, there's a spell check on here! ♥ SG

Its like that Simpsons ep where Lisa has to ChooChoo Choose Ralph Wiggum Im reminded of the Vannilla Ice film where he utters a line that i think may help you in this troubled time : ''Drop that Zero and get with the Hero '' i hope that helps Band boy is the 'hero' in that and poor Joe would be the Zero , what a harsh world .

I can't imagine my mum every pressuring me to go to the prom with some guy I didn't want to go with. And even if she tried I'd be like "Step down, mother! I choose my own companion".
It's alright I suppose if you're friendly with this guy and comfortable with him but if not then that's a bit poo.
As for the prom picture - you can still get loads of "unofficial" pictures with your mates and band guy, so that might be cool.
My advice is don't worry about it because when you get there you can just mingle with everyone, hang around in a big group or little group and just get sloshed and have fun. If someone spikes the punch all the better.

We're not that good of friends that I could just go up and be all "BE IN A PICTURE WITH ME" ..... he actually might do it now that I think about it... he's a pretty cool guy... and he'll probably be drunk and or high.... or I might be (drunk). Hopefully I don't be drunk... cuz I don't want anything to happen with Joe and me. ♥ SG

But if you are drunk you can brazenly throw your arm around Will's muscular shoulders and snap a picture.

I know, I know. I'm trying. I've eaten some out of desperation.
Soup and cheese sandwich? I thought that actually meant soup and cheese in a sandwich!

I love caramacs! I haven't had one in centuries! I'm also vaguely bollocksed off at the idea of going job hunting again tomorrow. I don't really want to but I know I should.

I'm feeling rather idiotic as I know none of my friends addresses (they don't want me appearing on their doorsteps) and I need a personal reference
