It was beautifully used , and re-emphasised the reasons for the threads existence It was the most polite term i could find Were they supposed to just prune a bit ? or they were random tree saboteurs ?

We didn't know they were even coming to do it. One of the neighbours asked them to come and cut it because the roots were damaging the stability of her house, but they were supposed to tell us they were coming too since it's in our garden. Anyway, they cut off way too much and they were in our garden most of the time without even asking us or telling us why they were there. And they did a terrible job and the woman who phoned them is going to complain to the council because they broke something in her garden and then took it with them hoping she wouldn't notice And they left loads of the tree lying about.

No, we never do anything about these kinds of things. We're pushovers.
Once we went out shopping and then came back to find one of our Neighbours (a different one) had cut down a whole bloody tree of ours! We found him in the back garden with a chainsaw looking guilty. (and a bit psychotic)

My dad cut the tree in the front garden of our neighbours as it was taking over the entire pavement , i think they were ok with it though , but i liked how it looked like a big fringe I'd usually think of people cutting down their own protected trees to extend their own house , not having bloody chainsaw wielding neighbours doing it

Well this tree was entirely in our garden with like about two branches going into theirs and they cut it down into a stump! It wasn't a protected one though so we couldn't get them fined. If we cut down the protected tree we'd have to pay a fine of thousands of pounds, besides we like that tree.
