they did a bleak voicover trail for it and it got bleaker by the word so i avoided it Long Way Down had already featured a school massacre ( im resisting the very strong urge to put a tongue at the end of that sentence )

Just watched episode 9 of Chuck and I have to say that this show is probably the best, most consistent show on atm... surprised more people aren't talking about it!
Episodes 8 and 9 had the hot Rachel Bilson guest starring in a small-ish role, which i think was brave... they could've just stuck her in as your typical bad girl or good girl guest star, or made her a major part of the story all revolving around her, but she was just in it to further the story of the Chuck and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski - HAWWWT!) relationship and show us, the viewer, their true feelings toward one another.
Its a smartly written show, with great characters and a massively humorous tone... probably the best written hour-long since Whedon was last writing for tv.

I heard Kevin Smith describe the nightmare of getting the pilot made , dealing with interfering producers and naive writers he said he wouldnt go back but i bet he will he seemed to rate it and the cast alot though . I'll have a look if it ever comes on here .

hmm sure you're not thinking about Reaper ES? Chuck is from the producer and writer of 'The O.C' but yeah, Reaper is very good too, and you should look out for it soon on UK tv:) Not sure if Chuck has been picked up by UK tv yet though, but I would say both are excellent, however Chuck is my fave...
