Interruptions
“Hello, love.”
His voice rang throughout her body as he entered the room. She turned around, crossing her arms and looked at him. “Spike.” She couldn’t believe she was doing this, again. She’d already been with him, time and time again since she’d returned from heaven. Her friends still didn’t know about her and Spike. That kind of hurt her, but he... he made her feel.
“I think this has become a habit.” Spike walked further into the Summers’ residence. He now stood just a foot from the slayer, so close, yet so far away.
“I guess so, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best habit.” Was her response. It was true, she was using him, she needed him to help her feel, help her live. Her life was hell.
She took a step towards him, wanting to bridge the gap between them. “Dawn’s out with a friend, Willow’s over at Xander’s, so we’re all alone.” She told him. “No worries.”
“Good. Wouldn’t want any interruptions.” He looked her up and down, then growled hungrily, before pulling her into a deep kiss.
She felt his hands on her arms, and it sent shivers down her spine. She leaned into the kiss, using all the muscle in her lips she could possibly use. She pulled back a moment and looked at him, then took her hands and shoved him back on the couch. After all, who needs a bed?
He gazed up at her and couldn’t help but think she was beautiful. As she moved closer to the couch, and to him, he held out his hands. Once she was close enough he pulled her on to his lap. She moved around so that she was straddling him, and then leaned down, pushing their lips together once again.
The vampire moved his hands up her body, trailing her arms, until he reached the straps of her spaghetti strapped top. He gently pushed them down as they continued to kiss, passionately. His hands then moved down her body to her waist where they rested for a few moments.
Buffy kissed his lips before moving to his jaw, then neck. She grabbed the bottom of his shirt and began pulling it up when...
“Buffy?” Dawn walked in the door.
“Crap!” Buffy sat up on the couch and peeked over the top and saw her sister. “Hey Dawnie. What are you doing home?” She looked down at Spike and gave him a look that said ‘Stay down’ and then fixed the straps of her shirt.
“Oh, I forgot my jacket and was just wondering if you’d seen it.” She started to walk towards the couch and Buffy jumped up. She heard Spike make an ‘umpf’ sound but just hoped Dawn didn’t hear.
“Uh, yeah, I think it’s upstairs.” She walked around the sofa and over to Dawn. She put an arm around her and quickly led her to the stairs. “So yeah, go up there, get it, and then go have fun with your friends.” The younger girl gave her a strange look before slowly heading up the stairs. Before long she came back down with her jacket and smiled at Buffy.
“I guess I’m off. See ya, sis.”
“Bye!” She hugged her sister quickly before practically shoving her out the door. She locked the door then returned to the living room.
“Where were we?” She asked as she sat back down on top of him. “Right about here?” She brought her lips to his and continued where she left off, by grabbing the bottom of his shirt. She pulled it up over his head and tossed it on the floor.
“Yeah. ‘Bout there.” He nodded. Spike grabbed her shirt and began to pull it off of her when the phone rang.
“Oh, my God!” Buffy sighed and Spike growled.
“Don’t answer it.” He suggested kissing her neck.
“I... have...to.” She spoke. “Might be important.” He pulled back and she stood up and walked over to where the phone was, she grabbed it and brought it over to the couch with her and sat back down. She looked over at Spike as he sat there, then answered the phone. “Hello?”
Spike couldn’t stand this, interruptions made him want her more and couldn’t stand it. He inched closer to her, then moved up her body as she spoke into the phone. He began kissing her arm, then up her shoulder to her neck. He nibbled her ear a little before returning to her neck.
“Yes Giles... I... yessss...” She was having trouble with coherent thought at the moment. With him so close, it was a wonder she could make any words. “No... I know... I’ll be ready. Uh huh... Thank yoooou... Gotta go.” She hung the phone up and quickly slammed Spike down to the couch, and in a crash of lips, forgot to breathe. She pulled back a moment to catch her breath and then continued.
Finally. That was all Spike could think as they continued their ritualistic, habit forming, fun. He grinned against her lips and finally got her shirt off after his third try that evening. Things were going well now. They were both shirtless, kissing, and now he was moving on to her pants.
He unbutton the top button then got to the zipper, and was just about to ease them down when a knock sounded at the door. “Bloody hell!” He called out and she clamped his mouth shut with her hand. “Be quiet.” She said with a rather threatening look. He just rolled his eyes.
“Who is it?” Buffy asked. She grabbed her shirt off the floor and quickly pulled it on and then fixed her pants.
“It’s Anya.” She sounded impatient.
“Coming!” She looked at Spike once more before walking over to the door, she opened it up and plastered on a smile. “Hey. What’s up? What do you want?”
“Xander and Willow are having a friend night tonight and said I could join and that we would watch movies, but I wanted to know why they were having a friend night tonight when Xander and I were going to have sex, and Willow said that you told her she had to get out of the house, so I came here to find out why you ruined my night.” Anya explained, then smiled a perky smile.
“It’s good to know you came for a good reason.” Buffy replied, slowly nodding. “I didn’t mean to ruin your night, it’s just, I need Willow out of the house... for slayer related reasons. I’m busy so, if you could just go...”
“Exactly what are you busy with?” The ex-demon asked as she stepped into the house.
Rolling her eyes, Buffy sighed. She crossed her arms and looked at her. “Anya, I’m just busy and I’m going to be going patrolling soon, like I said, slayer stuff. Just preparing for patrolling and thought I’d get some working out in before going out. So, see ya later.”
In the living room Spike laughed at the mentioning of ‘working out’. She’d be getting a work out all right.
Anya looked into the living room, but didn’t see anyone. She could have sworn she heard something. “Are you hiding things from us Buffy? If so that’s not good and Xander will not be pleased.”
“Good bye Anya.” Buffy said, then led the woman to the door. “Night!” She shut the door once Anya was outside and locked it once again. She leaned up against the door and sighed.
Spike got up and stalked over to Buffy. He put his hands on either side of her on the door, and smirked. “Seems like people don’t want us to have quality time.” He arched an eyebrow.
“It seems that way.” She agreed. She leaned forward to kiss him, then turned him around and pushed him up against the door. She pulled back and grinned then began the kissing again. After a few moments she thought she heard someone twist the doorknob, but passed it off as Spike moving up against it.
They started to move away from the door when a sudden noise in the kitchen made them paused.
“Buffy?” It was Xander.
Buffy sighed and leaned her forehead up against Spike’s. This night was so not gonna happen.
Xander entered the living room and was greeted of the sight of Buffy holding Spike up against the door, her hand grasping his neck.
“Uh... Buff?”
“Yeah?” She looked back at him and smiled. “Just a second.” She pulled back and punched Spike, then opened the door and shoved him out. “And stay out!”
She turned back to Xander and smiled. “Hey Xand. What brings you here?”
“Anya said she was coming over here, and she seemed a little upset so I thought I’d come after her. The front door was locked so, I came in the back.” He pointed to the kitchen with his thumb.
“Yeah, she was here, but she left.” Buffy nodded and then straightened her clothes up a bit.
“Is everything alright here?” Xander asked her. She seemed a bit, preoccupied.
“Oh, yeah. Everything’s great. Good. I’m good. Good, happy Buffy.” She laughed a little and smiled.
“Okay. Well, I better get back. See ya later.” He nodded to her, and waved then she opened the door for him, and watched him go. She closed the door and soon found herself hitting her head on the door over and over.
“Why... Must... They... Interrupt...” Each pause meant another bang of her head. She then stepped away from the door and slowly walked up the stairs to her room. She opened the door, and there Spike was, sitting on her bed, smiling like that cat that ate the canary.
“Hello, love.” He repeated his words from earlier that evening.
“Spike.” She said, as she did the same. She smiled then shut the door behind her, locking it.
This time, there were no interruptions.
