I can't think of another one either. Russel T Davis has admitted that he was influenced by Buffy and other shows, to bring DW into that realm of popular programming. It has the feel of an American Whedonverse type show but with a (mostly) British cast. Hallelujah. I never thought I'd see the day. And, yeah, Rose was looking FINE today.

Whenever youd hear about any show being a 'British Buffy ' it would just make me determined to avoid it as i'd feel certain of its awffulness , but this is definitely worthy of that comparison in a good way

Theyll probably be two of the finest too , to make the heartbreak wose The Christmas special will be great though , and it seems certain they wont let Tennant away with only signing a one year deal

If only they'd trapped Eccles with a binding 5 yr contract he would come to loathe! dammit. Still, it was good while it lasted.

Holy Potato!
When Rose got disintigrated I was devastated. It was great when the Doctor was saying he was going to rescue her, Earth and destroy the Daleks all without any weapons.
Also the de-fabricator was...interesting. And Jack groped Trinny's boobs! or was it Susannah? meh.

His cold devestation was brilliant , and his disdain for the "we're just doing our jobs" line . The way he addressed her and his certainty was brilliant , The confusion and shockedness of the Daleks was apparent too I liked the Doctors casualness about the big brother girls eviction , saying how shed sell her story and launch a pop career and do a fitness video

The BBC is putting quite a lot of effort into advertising the finale AND has announced there will be a THIRD series!!!
It's also been confirmed Billie Piper will definately be in all 13 episodes of season 2. Yazoo!
Also, the BBC Doc Who website scared the crap out of me.

You'd have to go there yourself to find out the scariness.
I just hope Tennant lives up the the rep the 9th Doctor has built.

I know! I had my speakers up really loud and it scared me and then pissed me off. I was just like "Yes, that's enough of that" and immediately clicked on pics of Eccles.
