the American remake of Life On Mars has no americans in it!

Apparently Colm Meaney is going to play Gene Hunt: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6949520.stm NOOOO, But I love him! how am I supposed to hate American!Gene if he's played by Colm?

They asked John Simm and Philip Glenister to play them originally but they impolitely declined well Simm did anyway, Glenister is a nancy.

So did I! I thought we'd have some new romantics walking by and have Gene headbutt them but it's too early for Ashes to Ashes adverts since it starts in January I think? (and we have Torchwood then too! wayheeey!) but it was for Children in need, I think.


I think he died after the last episode of Life On Mars aired I only had him around for a week, apparently he gave away a big spoiler for the finale, so I uninstalled him

Philip Glenister was on the Catherine Tate show yesterday! yeah id say he's had years of struggling in unknown roles so to suddenly be the hero of the nation is a triumph rather than a burden

i bet they asked him to pose for pictures wheres he's holding them up against the wall violently

how very dare you! he's had an ok career, mostly bbc 1 dramas and appearences on crime dramas like other british tv actors, but yeah he's most famous and well known for playing one of the best characters ever created aka Gene "shut it you sally" Hunt

That would be fantastic he'd show it off, I hope they mention the Cortina in Ashes to Ashes, Gene/Cortina will always be my one true pairing, its almost as epic as Doctor/Tardis
