do you guys have any slang words that are native to you're city, region, country etc? there are some aberdonian slang words that I used to use when I was common.. I'm posh now you see I just try and speak properly now. Fit Like = what like? aka how are you? "alrite angus fit like?" fit = what fa = who far = where "fits yer name?" "keith, fa's askin?" "yer ma!, your teas ready!" "far are ya?" "london, my dear fellow" dah ken = don't know ken = know "scotland is in europe" "aye ah ken!" and also: how = why LOL which is annoying. "go away will you!" "how?" "walk you idiot!" "aye, ah ken, but how?" "argh" ah = I I think "ah" is scottish slang, I might have just made it up since I was too lazy to say I. oh and alrite min = hello man! nit = no wifie = woman quine = girl moo = mouth (aka "shut yer moo!") and aye = yes, thats used by everyone in scotland, not just aberdonians. edit: bide = live aboots = about aka "far aboots do you bide?" and yer ma is also a insult aka "your mother" you know "yo mama!" I look forward to the slayerfest members coming up to aberdeen and using the aberdonian slang. alite min! och aye!

I thought that was the Irish who did that. Isn't quine a dirty word? I was simply demonstrating my slang word of "buffoon"

ohhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woman! I didn't mean it like that! great source of amusment? I hope you mean "billy connelly is the greatest comedian ever" by that. and this "scottish" slang that I've never heard anyone say, amuses me greatly: May yer lums reek lang and weil = May your chimneys produce a great profusion of smoke. 1. it sounds dirty. 2. haha who says "may your chimneys produce a great profusion of smoke?"

Oh yeah, sure the talk of hardness and easily spreading was SOOO innocent. He is a good comedian, and that's partly what I meant I often say "may your chimneys produce a great profusion of smoke" The only slang I can think of is probably not limited to my region but it's things like "Leg it!" or "Peg it!" and there was a great list of slang for stealing and farting that my sister used to say life "chiefing" or "chafing". Not stealing and farting simultaneously, though.

The only slang I can think of is not just limited to my area. We're not that creative. Yo = Your, Hey!, or it has no meaning and is the single word that you can add to any sentence and it still works. - "How's yo mamma?" "Yo! What's up?" "I can't come, yo." Pimpin' = Cool, awesome - "That car's pimpin', yo!" Word = I concur - "Man, that project was difficult." "Word." Oh, snap! = Darn!, Drat!, Uh oh! - "Did you do your homework for today?" "We had homework?" "Uh, yeah." "Oh, snap! I forgot!" Oh, burn! = You just got dissed! - Boy 1: "Dude, you're an idiot." Boy 2: "That's not what your mama said last night." Boy 3: "Oooh burn!" Salty = Upset, Sad, Mad - "I was so salty when my mom told me I couldn't use the car anymore." Dismissed! = Oh, burn! - See "Oh, burn" and replace the last line with "Dismissed!" Poppin' fresh - Cool, awesome. - "That shirt is poppin' fresh!" Trickin' - Lying, deceiving. - "You've gotta be trickin'." Trippin' - Lying, freaking out, high from drugs. - "You've gotta be trippin', man! He wouldn't do that!" "Don't be trippin', dawg! It'll be a'ight!" "Man, I was so trippin' last night after I took those pills." Flagging - Failing. - "I'm totally flagging my math class." Iny = Any - "Got iny food?" Idn't = Isn't - "He's going, idn't he?" Gay = Stupid, unfortunate. "Man, this assignment is gay! It doesn't make iny sense!" Sexy beast = Extremely hot, or goodlooking, person. "Oh yeah, he's a sexy beast!" And that's all I got right now
