I like Jonathan Ross! I'm not dissing his R's I just like the way he says words with R in them. It isn't that popular in the us? aww

*clears throat*
AHAHAHAHAH! WOOOOOO! YEAH!
*clears throat again*
So, I just went and saw Serenity. There's NO SPOILERS in this post because that would be mean. And you really do not want to see this film spoiled. I went in there as unspoilt as the unspoilt snow and it hit me HARD. Everyone should see this without a hint about what the hell is going to happen in it.
Like I said, I won't divulge any of the plot but I will say that I went into this film hearing all the hype from the critics and other fans and I really wanted it to be as good as they said but there was always the doubt of "what if it's just been overhyped?". So, I was prepared to be somewhat disappointed (although never completely!) and I WASN'T!
It was so damn good and I want at LEAST two more films.
It sounds really stupid but I nearly cried. hahah. And I never do that in the cinema. Also my leg's were shaking! hahahahaha. It sounds stupid but it's true. *is embarrassed*
I will say this though - if I hadn't seen the series of Firefly it probably wouldn't have meant so much to me. I mean, it's perfectly watchable for people who haven't seen the series and I still recommend they go see it, but it meant to much more that I knew the history of these characters better than just the pieces they divulged on screen. I knew the relationships to each other from the beginning so I could just enjoy seeing some of my old favourites back on screen.
*sigh* so damn good.
I want to see it again and again!
...bad news is, that there was only 5 people in the cinema - including me - there to see it. But I'm just going to say that's because it's quite a small town, it was a preview screening and it was at 2pm when lot's of people are at work/school.
Go see this film as soon as possible! In fact, why are you even reading this? GO NOW!!!
<END OF GUSH>

It is a superb film and anymore words from me wouldn't do this film justice, but I will say that this is on par with the original Star Wars film, and for me, that is VERY high praise indeed! It has to be seen, more than once and then some!
MINOR SPOILER
I also nearly cried and the Simon and River scene with the Reapers:(

Yeah, but even before that my eyes started to water, when you see the look on her face as Simon gets..... you get the idea.... but when she said it was her turn I almost started crying for real... kinda embarrassed myself... lol

If I have to shout "SPOILERS!" one more time...
S P O I L E R S
I know what you mean! Oh, when she jumps through the thing and then gets pulled back I was like "No!". haha.
I was so shocked when he got...you know (nudge, nudged)
I was grinning and then almost crying and a lot of other emotions throughout the whole film and the guy in front of me was yawning! *kills him*
Also, I think Gina Torres looked great in that white dress. *sniffle*

Gina Torres looked quite nice.... I think my m8 now fancies Jewel Staite, but thats ok because I fancy Summer Glau and Morena Baccarin:)
Anyways..... yeah the whole film shocked me and I went through all the emotions as you did. The two firends I went to see the film with gave the film a 7.5 and 8 out of ten.... their main complaint was that the story was simple.... what morons!
They loved the acting and dialogue the most and as mentioned previously... they liked the girls too:)

I thought Jewel Staite looked really good in this film too, I think she lost weight or something. Not that she was fat or anything. Also, her hair was better.
I kind of think all of the women looked superb actually. On the show, I never really saw the buzz about Summer Glau but she looked great in the film.
The story was simple?! WHA! It kept twisting and turning all over the place! That's insane talk.
Did you have a lot of people in your cinema?

I was at the 8.00pm showing and it only had a few people in it:( I'm pretty sure that it might bomb at the box office over here, which is the most insane thing EVER! I'm going to watch it at least another 3 times to get Whedon the money he needs for film 2 or even a new series, so if all us whedon fans do the same I think the 40m they spent on it will be made back with a little profit on top of that too to be used on the sequel.

Oh crap! That's terrible. I thought it was just because I went in the early afternoon. *hopes it picks up*
Although, to be fair they haven't been advertising it anywhere but CH4 and Sky One, that I've seen.
Gawd I want a new series.

If I could choose out of a new series or a movie, I'd choose the series. MORE HOURS! Waha.
I'm glad I liked it too. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as everyone said. But it was. So hurrah.
If I was employed by CH4 I'd spend all my money on going to the cinema to see it every day, to the point where even the staff know my name!
