...The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. So, I went to see this tonight. I didn't actually remember that much of the original story, being that I was a wee nipper when I first saw the animated series/film but the parts I did remember they stayed very faithful too...and the more I watched the more I started to remember. There were good performances from all of the young actors but Lucy, the youngest was really brilliant. She just hit the mark every time, a veritable plethora of emotions. ( ) The CGI was pretty amazing too. Aslan was looking snazzy, and Liam Neeson was the perfect choice for his lush vocals. Oooh Aslan, take me away from here! That guy from Shameless who I don't know the name of, did a grand job of portraying Tumlins (sp?) the fawn. Hee hee his little legs. Tilda Swinton was satisfactory as the White Witch...I felt they could have made her more intimidating and more icy looking. She's quite good with a couple of swords though The Beavers (Ray Winstone, Dawn French as vocals) were the highlight of the film for me! Yes, I love beavers. The battle scene was tense and the many different species of animals/humanoids was really interesting. And for anyone who knows the books/cartoons/earlier films then the "sad" moment everyone knows about is still really sad in this film! I had tears in my eyes. All in all I give it a 7.5/10. *climbs into wardrobe*
