WHOLE LOTTA SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw this today, we were meant to go see The Descent but my friend is just too much of a scaredy cat so I graciously said we could see this instead rather than making her sit through horror.
The first part of this film was kind of boring actually, although I liked the flashback to how they first met and thought that both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looked great in that scene. She's also a very good dancer.
I liked a few small bits like when she was handed a baby and the baby just stared at her and she stared back and then it smiled. I also liked it when she was balancing on the arms of the chair, in high heeks, fixing the curtains and he didn't even notice.
However, it only really started to get better when they found out about each other being assassins.
I like it when she hit him with her car after he "accidentally" nearly shot her in the head. It was great how she jumped out of the car and he was still in it saying "We need to talk!" as it went over some, like, ravine...or slight hill.
Another good part was when he asked her to dance and just kept randomnly slamming her into things. He pushed her back into a mirror and she was all "ow" but carried on with the dancing! Still, she got her revenge by putting a bomb in his jacket.
It was also good when they went for their big showdown and were just blasting the hell out of their house. The raucous sex afterwards reminded me of "Smashed".
What is it with film and TV trying to imply that if you beat the crap out of each other you will have amazing sex??? Isn't that a bad message to put out?
I also liked the ending with them fighting the bad guys and it went slow motion and the same music played that did when they first danced, and it was obviously trying to parry that.
Oh, and Angelina Jolie is hot.
That is all.
