Kissing Jessica Stein

It's a film, not something I've just done, okay? Just thought I'd clear that up.

It was on Ch4 last night a 1.55am and I loved it!

It's basically about this woman, Jessica Stein, and how she's super organised and never gives herself the chance to actually feel things - she just estimates how she'll feel if she does something, and never actually does it.

Then, on a whim she answers a classified that she identifys with - but it's on the Women looking for Women page!

The woman who's looking for another woman is Helen and she's hetero (mostly) and has tried everything else so she just wants some hot lesbian action. (don't we all).

Anyway, it's a comedy and also kind of tragic and great.

I laughed really loudly several times and - as stated above - it was a bit too late at night to be doing that.

The ending was a bit...naff in ways, but I forgave it because it's my new favourite film! (after Serenity)

The tv book i read actually gave it a review , which is good sign as they usually only review a third of the days films

I was just on rottentomatoes.com or whatever it is, and they're mostly evil, but it got a good 83% I think.

I nearly didn't catch it, though. My computer ballsed up so I went downstairs to look at the TV guide, saw the name of the film and vaguely remember hearing good things about it so I stayed up to watch it.

I'm adding this DVD to my list of things to buy when I get money.

I agree. There's something horrible about really loving a film, gingerly checking "expert" opinions on it and finding out it's a universal pan (Daredevil, Elektra)

Iread a few scathing reviews of 'From Hell' but could tell they hadnt seen it as they slagged off Heather Graham's irish accent when her character wasnt supposed to have one

Okay.

So this movie is about this woman who decides to answer a LESBIAN ad from another woman who's looking for a LESBIAN experience.

This leads to much awkward LESBIANISM but eventually they have a LESBIAN kiss or 20.

Then we see their LESBIAN relationship progress, and Helen wants some LESBIAN sex but Jessica is wary of the LESBIAN sex.

Then they break up because Jessica the LESBIAN didn't tell HELEN the LESBIAN about her brother's wedding and discretely hid the invite.

Jessica is then all moppy and her mother has a talk with her and figures out she's going through a LESBIAN thing and says she's okay with her being a LESBIAN.

Jessica gets back together with her LESBIAN and all is right in the world. For a little LESBIAN while, at least.

I think maybe references to the LESBIAN SEX thats mentioned in the film may alert the lazy ad thing better , yeah Lesbian SEX
