This was a staggering sensation . Theyve made it right at last , it was never an easy task to make Batman look non-ridiculous on film , but theyve achieved it Bale is easily the best Batman , haunted but funny, his bantering with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman is fantastic . Gary Oldman was brilliant as sgt./commisioner Gordon, the only uncorrupt cop left in gotham , i'd have liked maybe twenty minutes more of his struggle , but it was still great . When i was 20 minutes in iwas thinking , 'This could well be the best superhero film evver ! ' it is

Liam Neeson was great too, especially early on with his merciless aproach to teaching Bruce . Katie Holmes was believably incorruptible (like joey potter ) Cillian Murphy was as slimy as Johnathan Crane is supposed to be , good work .

Well, I'm slighty less enthusiastic about it then you. I thought it was good but not the BEST superhero film. I still think Daredevil was highly underrated.
Anywho, SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!
I do think that they finally made Batman look real on screen and not too camp and moronic. Christian Bale is the best Batman by far.
I like Gary Oldman too, his character was interesting. "I've got to get me one of those" when he saw the Batmobile was great,
I thought they could have done a lot more with Dr. Crane (although Cillian Murphy had some weird make-up or something because he looked slightly like a girl...with a weird face. Like Jackie Stallone! or not)
I like Katie Holmes in the film with her "Yeah, you better run!" when she thought that she'd scared off her attackers. She had courage, it was just a shame Batman kept rescuing her before she could rescue herself like when she had the gun against the released maniacs. She didn't act very terrified when she'd been drugged either. Still, I liked her.
I thought the beginning of the film was a little slow-moving actually and it was all well and good with the tortured, brooding Bruce Wayne but all the philosophy Liam Neeson kept spouting was putting me off. "You must conquer your anger. Use it, but do not let it consume you" EH???
The parts where they were fighting on the ice was good though.
I thought Morgan Freeman was a little underused. Hopefully in the next film he'll get a bigger part. I did like it though whe Rutger fired him and then later on, when he had his job, he repeated his "Didn't you get the memo?" part. hehe.
Michael Caine was great. I liked it when he thumped Liam Neeson on the back of the head then said "I hope you weren't a member of the Fire Brigade" and when he picked Christopher Bale up from China or wherever and he said "You can take the Roll's just make sure to fill her up with a full tank of gas". I actually think he got most of the best lines in the film.
I think they missed a REAL opportunity for a gag though. When Alfred was putting Rachel into the car, I thought the couple that were watching were going to think they were having sex. We could have seen a shot of him leaning in, and her legs dangling out. What a wasted opportunity. I would have laughed my head off.
The only think I really laughed at was a mistake I made. There was a point in the film when Rachel was driving off in her car and then the next thing that was heard was this "whoosh" sound. I thought her car had been set on fire! Ah, what a giggle.
The hints about the Joker at the end was an "Ooh, interesting" moment.
In other news - The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Island look good.

DareDevil was incredible , i loved it without having really even heard of DareDevil till the film came out , I loved his mercilessness with the man in the subway tunnel. Oldman's gagging to do the sequels Im glad she found out Batmans identity , especially after seeing Bruce strutting around fakely drunk with those bimbos . I loved seeing the whole process of improving the suit and adding the cape and so on . I think Freeman was only on the set for 5 days , but he made his prescence felt They could have had Caine saying nnocent things that were misconstrued as being filthy by the watching couple : P I want to rewatch it now to see the moment when Katie was almost incinerated : P The Narnia films look good , the LOTR style of bringing it out over a few years will probably pay off well too . I do like the look odf The Island , and McGregor and Johannsen are good , but the Director Michael Bay often brings out dross .

I thought the Narnia film was LOTR when I first saw the ad! yeah, The Island looks interesting but if it's "dross" I will be mightily disappointed.
Yeah Alfred could have been saying things like "Now, let's just move your legs up here. Yes. Watch the head. I'll be gentle with you, dear" hahaha.
I'm sort of glad that she found out Batman's identity although she didn't seem THAT shocked. Which, I would have been all "Ahhh! You're a flying bat type thing by night!" but she took it all in her stride.
It was quite amusing to see Bruce and the two bimbos climb into the fishtank though. Also when he told everyone to piss off when he had to get them out of his house. I also liked the page 8 article in the newspaper "Drunken Billionaire Sets Fire to His House". heh.

Among his filmic dross i thinnk he's behind the Law and Order 'franchise' so he's not all bad .
Its criminal that they didnt use that misunderstanding when it so clearly would have been a huge highlight , oh well : P
There were alot of great comic moments and 'looks' between Caine and Bale (thats almost Caine and Abel : P) im desperate to see it again now .
