I saw it. S P O I L E R S I was disappointed. Johnny Depp seemed more Michael Jacksonish/child molester than Gene Wilderish Things were a bit different and there was a different ending, so you didn't know exactly what would happen. All in all, I guess it was alright. But I found myself missing the original while watching it

I was disappointed. Johnny Depp seemed more Michael Jacksonish/child molester than Gene Wilderish I doubt theyll be using that quote on the poster They usually show the original on TV around the time remakes are out , i'll look forward to seeing that again

I think it was supposed to seem darker because in this day and age if there's this reclusive dude living in a factory who invites kiddies over...he's gonna seem like a Michael Jackson type.
I haven't seen it thought and I probably won't.

I was really looking forward to seeing it. I don't venture to the movies often, it's too traumatic It was one of the handful of movies my Mom actually let me watch as a child, what an injustice

I've seen the old version and it was never my favorite movie, though I do like the oompa loompas for some odd reason.
The new version just freaks me out from what I've seen of the previews. Willy Wonka's just to pale. Waaaaay too pale and odd looking.

I'm very pale so lay off us paleies! But yeah, I agree. He looked like he was made up to look like death warmed over. It was an eerie whiteness.

You two are a disgrace to the 'Hermit heroes' with your anti pale agenda
