I agree JMF! All 7 eps have been of a very high standard so far, both in terms of acting and direction, not to mention with witty writing that hasn't been present since S1. I'm not going to go as far as saying that this season is better than S1 at this early stage, however if the episodes continue to be as smart as this years Christmakah episode, then I think the briliiant S1 might even come off second best!
I think the change has to do with the creator (forget his name) coming back on board full time and the the absence of Marrisa. Taylor has the best lines and the best scenes this season, and if Barton was around most of the good stuff would be missing. i.e Taylor.

How did that Christmas episode work? I don't know but it did! It was great! I laughed out loud a lot. THE O.C IS GOOD. PRAISE BE, ALLAH.
Best line (paraphrased):
Taylor: "I got Ryan a George Forman grill because he likes lean meat. Obviously" HA.
Summer's constant "That's my job, bitch!" thing managed to be very funny too. And Julie is always a triumph.
I kind of like Kaitlin too, I think she's got a very good wry sense of humour.
TAYLOR/RYAN is the best thing ever. So there.

I KNOW! When I read the synopsis for the episode on ign I thought that the series might take a turn for the worse (already). But they seemed to really make it work and even made it exceptional in the process! Wicked fun series so far....  |

i got the idea the channel had made the decision at the start of the season by already shortening the run , and wouldnt even care how good a state it was in as it went along , but people in the know say the new girl will have her own show next season  you heard it here last |
