- The diclonius (two-horned human) was a mutant created by humans. It had a special ability that could be described as a sixth sense.
The mutants had enough power to exterminate the whole human race. Humans being afraid of their powers, they were isolated into research labs to be studied.
One of the diclonius girls named Lucy broke out of confinement, killed the guards and escaped from the laboratory. She feel into the ocean after being shot and ended up on a beach. There she met Kota and Yuka, they named her Nyu and began to live with her. - Taken from Anime Info. com
The Diclonius were also said to have been the children chosen by God to destroy humanity. There sixth sense was that of vectors. Invisible hands that extended from the body of the host ripping or slicing apart the victem or those who stood in their way. They were hated by humans and hurt, both physically and emotionally abused, showing no love for them the Diclonius revolted, killing all who crossed them. A small child known as Lucy was never shown love, she killed children that slaughtered her puppy infront of her, people who accused her of being a freak, who hurt and injuried her. But soon the vectors controlled her [ in my opion ] she killed people, many. Including Kota's sister and father. Elfen Lied is a fun ride, although disturbed at times, that will keep you watching it for times on end. Although it only has 14 episodes it a wild ride. Hope ya catch it ^^.
Note If you can't handle gore and blood, even thou a cartoon, I vote you not watch this anime its a fun, cute and enjoyable but not ment for everyone.
