I always got the impression that Katie Holmes was quite intelligent. That might have been because of all the crap she spouted on Dawson's Creek though.

Katie Holmes is apparently going to undergo a full-scale name change when she marries. She will take on Tom's last name as well as his pet name for her: Kate. She will be known as Kate Cruise.
