I have to read a book for English class, then I'll have to write a review on it, so I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for what book I should read. There's no certain type, it just has to be Young Adult/Adult level and Mrs. Cope will be happy. I'd prefer the shorter books, but, you know, I can't always get what I want

No, I have not. I'm still back on whatever chapter I was the last time I said I was reading it

Ah, Orwell, my "Animal Farm" friend He likes short books, at least all the ones I've seen by him are short.

I heard that a lot of his books are basically the same, just different characters and such I'll take your word for it, though, and check it out.

Is there any such books?
Well, I like longish books but Catcher in the Rye is short(ish) and it's pleasant book about nothing in particular.
I've always wanted to read Brave New World or Dr. Faustus but I think they're both long an encumbering, but fairly impressive to tell a teacher you have read.
One of my favourite books LIEKEVA is "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, but it's not for everyone.
You could go with something more mainstream like a Dan Brown book (*spits*) which I personally haven't read any of his books, but there's a hype there.
If I think of anymore I'll let you know. Whens the deadline?

I think I'm supposed to have it read two weeks from whenever I posted that first post I don't know about Dan Brown books, they didn't look interesting to me, but Shana has a couple of them. I'll look up those other books you mentioned.
