There's nothing really special you can do. You just have to keep doing it, using your medipaks and try not to kill the skeletons as when they come back they're usually a little stronger. I normally run around circles, only stopping to hit an orb when it's fading or if I have to kick something out of my way. My tip's just to avoid. Don't fight anything until you get all of the orbs gone. Of course you may have to do some fighting if a zombie like hits you or something. lol.

He's not THAT bad. He's surprisingly easy to fight once you get all the orbs gone. *nods*
