I haven't actually played this for a while but it's very amusing and fun. It's an Adventure Game, where you take on the role of Manuel Calavera.

I love it, personally. It's from Lucas Arts the same people who brought me Escape from Monkey Island! (a masterpiece) but it you're a fan of action/violence/racing games you probably won't like it.

Little fact - "Calavera" is the name of those skeleton dolls that Mexicans put up on the Day of the Dead

I love the 'web of intrigue' mention does it take 4 years to complete

Yes, it does. haha nooooo it probably did for me, though. But that was before I became deft at games.

One minute you're in Year 1, then you complete something and there's a cut scene then saying "Year 2". It's a whole big story thing.
