Chap. 16
Closing her eyes and counting to ten the pissed off slayer had stormed into the kitchen with Spike in tow.
That girl. Oh my god, I’m going to KILL her. What the hell did she think she was pulling?
Her rants just grew louder and louder as arms flopped about, readying to strangle that little sister of her’s.
If it wasn’t for the scoobies, she WOULD have been dead. Spike I can’t keep doing this. Keep her safe from god knows what’s out there when she’s rebelling up the storm. I I’m the slayer and I have a job to protect. It it shouldn’t have to be that hard. But with Dawn……….

With Dawn, everything’s a mess and I can’t fix it. I’m the slayer. Everyone expects me to be strong. To be brave. But is that what I am? The girl who saves the world one minute and then sits down to heave out a sob the next? Cus let me tell you something. I I’m scared. Scared out of my mind about what just transpired a moment before. I I could have lost her. Grr, stupid me. What I was thinking? I should have checked…………
But before she could finish her long tiring ramble, he had put a hand up.
Spike: Whoa slayer, it wasn’t your fault o.k.? Who knew that the bloody bint had tooken up the wager and climbed down her window? Certainly not you luv…………
Buffy: But if I hadn’t been out on “PATROL”, she would never have done it Spike. God, again it’s my stupid sacred duty that almost endangered her. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID…………!!!!!!!!!
