I read the first chapter, and if you don't want to know what happened in that chapter, do not read on... S P O I L E R S This chapter was basically about the Prime Minister and some bad happenings that had happened lately. A bridge collapsing, murders, a hurricane, etc. and how he's being blaimed for it all by one of his opponents. Then Fudge shows up, former Minister of Magic but was fired because of those same bad happenings I mentioned before. He tells the Prime Minister that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was the cause of these things and he actually gave permission to him to collapse the bridge because he was blackmailed. The PM get's mad and argues with him for a bit then the new Minister of Magic shows up and talks to him about some things before they both leave. It's established in this chapter that Lord Voldemort is now alive, the dementors no longer guard Azkaban and are now breeding in Britain and have joined Voldemort, there was a mass breakout at Azkaban of prisoners who have now joined Voldemort as well, the hurricane was not a hurricane but Voldemort and some giants terrorizing the country, Voldemort is killing withes and wizards around the country, and the dementors are out spreading hopelessness and despair. There's a nice recap of things that happened in a few of the earlier novels as the Prime Minister thinks back to previous meetings with Fudge about things that happened. From Sirius Black escaping to Voldemort's return in book 5. It was good chapter, but not much happens. It does sort of set you up for future happenings in the book though. I'm hoping to at least get to chapter 6 today which would get me past page 100.

This one is 652 pages long so I believe it's shorter than the 4th and 5th ones

I was thinking the books would just keep getting larger and larger until book 7 would be over 1,000,000 pages

The final one should be humungous to tie up any loose ends

Now for chapter 2! SPOILERS ahead!
Chapter 2 is about Snape, Draco's mom Narcissa and his aunt Bella. Narcissa goes to Snape's home (which happens to be in the muggle world) to ask him for help. Snape is revealed to be working for the Dark Lord just as he used to way back when and revealed why he has not killed Harry Potter and why he has helped to stop the Voldemort before. Apparently Voldemort has some plan that has to do with Draco trying something and Narcissa is worried for her son and hopes that Snape can convince Voldemort to make someone else do the deed. Snape says he will not do that but he will protect Draco and help him and if Draco does not succeed he will do whatever it is Voldemort wanted Draco to do. He makes the Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa and that's the end of the chapter! Ooky!
It was a good chapter and I'm curious as to what exactly is to be done by Draco, though I THINK it may be killing Harry Potter since they said that Voldemort didn't even succeed at it.

Out in the sun? No! Ask anyone, I'm a hermit. But yes, TV keeps me busy and from reading Harry Potter's stints at wizarding school.
