New just in -
James Marsters admits that he is willing to play Spike again only if he plays the lead role. New SFX interview.
"I would like him to go through a journey where he starts in one place and
ends up in another allowing him to go though some kind of change" Marsters
explained. "I would like him to be the lead. I heard from some people that
they were thinking of doing a Spike/Illyria piece and I need to talk to
them and say, 'I am really interested in doing the character as a lead,
but I have done him as a sidekick.' If they write an Illyria piece with
Spike tagged on, I probably won't do it."
"I love Amy Acker and would love to shoot with her, but there is nothing for me to prove by doing it with her," he continued.

He's quite right too, We need a proper fulll on Spike TV film! I'd settle for a Spike and Illyria one too though |

But clearly he won't!
Maybe they could do a Spike movie with Illyria as his wacky sidekick, but I think he wants it to be All About Spike.

I don't know so much - he sounds large and in charge. This could be his way to duck out of a Spike project but still end up making it look like it's everyone else's fault!
I wonder if Amy Acker will what he said and say "That bastard!"
