yeah I've noticed that I usually go on the VKA site to read good fics, so I skip all the crappy ones

I'd rather read a fic thats won awards or is by a well known author so I know its going to be a good read I don't want to waste my time reading a fic that isn't that good that talks about "love sticks" and "private buns".

yeah but the best thing is finding a hidden gem of a story that doesn't get any recognition and is way better than the popular stories.

Anyway, most of the sites I like seemed to have closed. There was a really good JM/Spike site called "Kiss Me Deadly" but now it's gone and a great Music Video place called "Drawn to the Fire" and now that's gone too.
