I've been reading around the geek forums and that's one of the first things they suggest you do - get rid of so many processes. You just uncheck boxes, though. So if anything goes horribly awry the next time you log on you can just set it back to default. Which I've done many times after not mastering the selective route. I'm dreading that day for you, too.

Adware is the bane of my life. I have my Spybot, and my firewall but it still get's through.
Though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death I will fear no evil...except for computer.

Maybe that was the first time I'd done it in ages... Any rate I often get more that 40. Baring in mind another person uses my computer. I keep getting casino pop-ups and I don't go anywhere near such sites. My dad ended up with a Spyware application on his area called "NastySex" He didn't even notice it, but whilst I was snooping in his area I decided to get rid of it to save his embarrassment.

Maybe he pawned your msn and word to fund his casino habit That was a tremendously nice gesture , and a great way of avoiding a terrible scene

He's not technically able enough to do such a thing. I had to teach him to log on to the internet. Unless he was fakin! I know. It was to save my own embarassment as much as anything.

I so took my Word and Messenger and slightly faster start up for granted until this happened...if it all get's fixed I'll be like Buffy in "I Will Remember You" - "I'll never forget! I'll never forget!"
