basically it's a music recommendation site and it lists all the tracks/artists you listen to and then you get music reccomended to you at the end of the week, it's also good if you want to listen to some free music (STREAMED RADIIOOOOO) and you can make journal entries ! which I am planning to do soon, you can also join groups which have forums and you can talk about your favourite artists there, you can add friends to you profile so you can see what your mates listen to, and you get neighbours too based on your musical taste . you can also upload your overall charts, weekly charts and recently played songs on websites with the code they give you like this:

how do they know what youve played ? do you have to update it yourself or they spy on you and do it for you ?

they don't spy they have over a trillion zillion users! it's not a fad like myspace though, if it was I wouldn't have joined being the rebel snob I am

you download the last.fm player, in the olden days it used to be a simple plugin

the player is great though, you can click the love button to add them to your loved tracks radio (which you get with a paid account ) or you can ban tracks incase you're listening to the radio and james blunt comes on

you just listen to your tracks normally on winamp, real player, windows media player etc and it gets "scrobbled"

yes and that It was because of my depression you see, you having a sucessfull music carreer and being a sucessfull doctor at the same time was too much for me, I just had to go and cruise and sleep at the wheel!

it's because the wham fans heard that you were joining it so they all went to your profile at once and crashed it

it always happens! it'll be back soon and sometimes the tracks are slow and won't show up, but if you wait you'll see them there after an hour or so
