I cried for 4 reasons the first time I saw this ep. Reason 1: Willow "talking to Tara" was really heart-breaking. Saying how she misses her and then The First saying that Tara still sings to Willow. Reason 2: Andrew killing Jonathan. Jonathan had just come to terms with all the high school stuff we went through and then he gets killed! Not bloody fair. Reason 3: "Joyce" telling Dawn that Buffy wasn't gonna choose her or whatever and then leaving before Dawn could get a proper chance to talk with her. Reason 4: Xander appeared NOWHERE in this entire ep except for the opening credits. I got some laughs from Andrew and Jonathan though... Andrew: It eats you starting with your bottom. hahaha. Anyone listen to the commentary for this ep? They talk about that scene in the school where Jonathan and Andrew are checking their walky-talky's. During one of the takes they let them go on with that for a long time and no one planned on stopping them. hehehe.

I watched the commentary for this just yesterday and it made me laugh so hard. I liked when someone complimented Michelle's screaming and I think Jane said that the writers office was close enough to the editing department that some days they would just hear Michelle screaming constantly.
I also liked when they said Jane is obsessed with Jonathan and if they were doing an episode about, say, Spike and his past she would come up and say "Can we get Jonathan in this somehow? Can Jonathan play Spike's mum?"
I also liked Tom Lenk's little anecdote that he went up to Jonathan Woodward and complimented him on his scenes in this episode and he said "Thanks, it's always nice to meet a fan" and Tom was all bitter about that.
Also Jane saying that when she came up with "Mother's Milk is Red Today" she read it back to herself and said "Holy crap!". Hahah.
I love the inside scoop.
I have to say though that this episode wouldn't have worked half as well if they had cast someone crap in the part of Holden. They picked the right guy for that. I liked how the episode was just full of revelations.
The part where Cassie/The First smiles and then swallows herself whole is ICK.
