He signed a 5 year contract

So rumour is that tennant might leave after s4 and the specials.
We're having a hiatus because Tennant is going to do Love's Labour's Lost and Hamlet for the Royal Shakespere Company next year and Russell wants his Tennantanator to stay, but Catherine Tate said in a recent interview that this might be Tennant's last series, so he might go after the specials.

I love David Tennant, he's been a fantastic doctor, I'll miss him and I will cry like the crazy fangirl I am when he goes.
But all the doctors are fantastic, Wonderful chaps - all of him , each actor brings something new to the character and every single one of them has been fantastic (but not as good as Tom Baker) So I'll miss Ten, but I'm also looking forward to see what the 11th doctor is like.

Oh and John Simm was on my life, before it was announced that he would play the Master, although actors have played two different characters before in DW and Doctor/Master shippers could make up something about how The Doctor regenerated into a Simm!Master lookalike, because he missed him so much

I updated the thread with the new information I was impressed by his acting skills in Ruby in the smoke and fancied him. He was of course my number one choice and I knew he would get picked.
I watched a couple of episodes of Party Animals when it was on, he was good on that that too. I didn't watch all of it since I can't be bothered with BBC shows that aren't Life On Mars of Doctor Who, I'll download it one of these days though.

We gots him for 5 whoooooole years. I'm still keeping my list of potential Doctors so I can edit this thread in 2015.
