Have you told you're parents that you're going to fast? if you haven't do you think they'll notice?

someone who doesn't want to spend the rest of the day hungry and who wants to eat breakfast and also the people who are afraid they'll swallow some water when they brush their teeth and gargle

of course You don't have to wake up at 4am if you don't want to

Word on the street (and by street I mean the Islamic Cultural Centre in london) is that its Ramadan tomorrow.

So we'll have to start fasting tomorrow

Day 1 in The Ramadan House


I think its the 3rd,4th or 5th of November, I'm going to phone the mosque and ask them around that time.


So Fasting? its going ok today... Kinda, I woke up and I thought "noo bad thoughts! I shouldn't have bad thoughts! no music either! come on Nida you can do this!" and then I started humming "I fought the law and the law won" and I realised I was humming then I said the C word that is another word for poo and then I smacked myself on the forehead.

But I'm ok now I can't go into the kitchen though, everytime I do I get hungry.

I break my fast at 6:38, so I'm silently waiting....

Day 1 in the Ramadan House

Well, personally, I'm hungry.

I am also avoiding the kitchen with wretched abandon. The music I doubt will be a problem for me, although I love to swear so that's sad.

I never ever have bad naughty thoughts, anyway.

ohh man I should of done the whole "Ramadan house" thing too.

My mothers left the kitchen door open and she made food (mmm chicken biryani *drools*) So I can smell it, I think shes trying to tease or something.

the food's going to be cold by the time its 6:38.. oh well, Gotta love microwaves.

I've decided to not post that much on a lot of the forums I go to, I'll be comeing here all the time though

I don't think she was doing it on purpose, But it looks like she was, I went into the kitchen earlier when she was cutting up the chicken (the chicken was dead) and she said "help me cook" I said "I would if it wasen't ramadan, But I'll get hungry mum!" and the she said "Ok just take out the pot" and I did and then she said "turn on the cooker, put oil in the pan, peel some onions" and I did... and then I realised what she was doing, and I stormed out of the kitchen

oh and now my stomachs started rumbling

I'm sure I'll be safe, I'll just stay out of the threads that get derailed (which is most of them) I might just post in this thread and the "person above you" thread, and I'll say good things about people like "nice hair" "nice eyes" etc since I'm supposed to be nice this month
