I prefer the old myths/legends to these new urban ones. Much more interesting. Just ask Orpheus.

Some legends are weird I don't know if I can tell the difference between old ones and new ones.

Well, just watch a bit of the ol' Disney's Hercules. The myth of Eurydice and Orpheus is a great story. Eurydice died and was banished to Hades to reside in the River Styx (I think) forever more. But Orpheus couldn't live without her so he went down to Hades and made a deal. That, if he could swim through the river of souls (which would certaintly kill him), fetch Eurydice and not look at her once before leaving, then they would both be free to go. So, he dived into the river, managed to get through and grab his love, and get back out without being drained of his life force. But just as they were leaving the desire to turn and see his beloved just for a moment after spending so long apart was too much and he turned to look at her. His deal was revoked and they both died, I think. Or she did, and he never had the chance to get her back again.

I've never heard of that in my life. Heard of some lady looking back and turning into salt while leaving a town or something.
There's some story about a maze with some monster thingmabob in it or something....

There once lived a Minotaur in a maze.
I don't know the exact story. The Minotaur is a cross between a bull type thing and human...and possibly something else.
Anyway, I think it was built by Daedalus, Icarus' father for some King or whatever.
Someone had to make their way through the maze for some reason and find their way back out alive where other's had failed. This person managed to cheat the system by using a ball of Golden Twine to mark where he had been before. He possibly killed the beast too.
I'm sketchy on details, since I haven't looked over these sorts of things for 3-4 years.

I should look up these things sometime. They're quite interesting. I've only heard about that like once a looooooooooong time ago on some show.

They are interesting. I went through a Greek myth/legend phase with a little bit of Nordic/Celtic thrown in too. Though, it's the Greek stuff that's mostly stuck.
They're like a past obsession. Like Spuffy. (not you)
