Amityville Horror

This is the most recent movie I've seen. I've never seen the original one that this was made from, but I thought this one was pretty good. It had some very gruesome tidbits. The husband getting taken over by the house and wanting to kill his family was interesting. The fact that the house was orignially a place where a man had tortured and killed Native Americans was definitely kinda freaky. Had I been the priest the woman had called to exorcise the house, I would have ran off too.

Has anyone else here seen this?

In SFX this film was voted the "SFX Stinker" which doesn't really encourage me to want to see it. Although quite a lot of the readers liked it.

The original was the dogs nuts!

The remake was ok but not a patch on the original. Good how they shot it kinda in the same eara as it is based on a true story!!
