A very very very simple explanation of the show:
Cornell Jack O'Neill leads a team of 3 other military and scientist members through the Stargate, an ancient portal which allows instantaneous travel to other galaxies. Under the Command of General Hammond they travel through other galaxies to meet alien races and establish a relationship between them en earth. they encounter everything from snakes that are in people's heads and live like gods to ET like creatures who are at war with machine spiders who can change metal into a exact copy of there selfs.

Overall Stargate Sg1 is a great series which surprises you with every plot turn, now entering there 9th season and there still alive and kicking!



Stargate is my absolute favorite show at the moment!! Specially with the new season, The Ori a race of beings that rival the Ancients are ready to attack us... how will we ever survive this...

Great show. Haven't seen any of Season 9 yet, bit sad about the lessening of Richard Dean Anderson's character Jack - since he's my favourite - but it's understandable he wants to spend more time with his daughter.

The end of Season 8 "The Lost City pt 1 & 2" was brilliant, and had some of the best special effects I've ever seen on television.

The plot is consistantly good and when Carter or Daniel starts talking a lot of technobabble Jack always says the exact thing I'm thinking, something along the lines of "And in English that means...?"

lol, yes seeing Richard leave the show was very sad because he was also my favorite character but the new guy in town Cameron Mitchell (sp?) is a LOT like him, i also love Ben on Farscape and he is doing a GREAT job as the new commander of sg1!

Lexa Doig has replaced Dr Frasier which also is a great move in my book because Lexa is just plain HOT lol

He guest starred in Andromeda, I'm betting she coerced him into doing that. He made a good robot, though.

I love Sg-1 It's my third favourite show ever. *nods* Love Jack, he's just so loveable, though I am saddened by the fact that from season 6 and on, his character is kinda just..blah..hes reduced to sarcastic remarks and was just not the same
