Come on, who's just a little overjoyed??? London won the bid to host the 2012 Olympics!
I thought I'd start this thread now so that we have plenty of time to voice our views. About 7 years.
London beat off competition from Moscow, New York, Madrid and, yes, Paris. Haha in yo' faces Frenchies! Just yesterday on the news they asked a load of French people if London had a chance in winning and they were all "No, no," "non". Bwha.
I was watching the footage on the news and the way the whole of Trafalgar Square erupted was great. And all the officials at the actual venue in Singapore.
All hail London.

instead we'll get news stories about funding forever more , but so what : P its here and its ours !
