Come on then, are we all excited? It's all happening tomorrow! Were any of us around and sober enough to remember Live Aid? Will we be watching it on TV or one of them big screens they've dotted around? 10 concerts all around the world - London, Philadelphia, Moscow, Japan, Canada...I can't remember. But 10! London guests include - Ms Dynamite Joss Stone UB40 Robbie Williams Coldplay Mariah Carey Destiny's Child The Killers Elton John with Phil Doherty Madonna Pink Floyd Paul McCartney I hope Muse! ...*runs out of memory* but lot's more. I had high hopes for The Spice Girls but apparently, non. Will this really make a difference to what Blair and Co decide to do about Africa? Do we just wish I'd shut up with the questions?

I remember kids singing 'feed the worrrrrrrllld' and that era but not watching Live Aid , Ive seen it a million or so times since then though and love watching it , and wish my parents had forced me to watch all 20 hours : P
I imagine Bono will be doing his best to steal the show ,, so that should be good , and Coldplay are on great form at the moment . Im unclear as to whether the gigs are all happening simultaneously or back to back , either way it should be great TV with Geldof and Bono making flash speaches : P
I think politicians love the idea of being remembered for something and this is the biggest chance at that that theyd ever get at no risk to themselves , I think it will lead to a huge debt reduction , but whether or not newly debt free countries can then get their acts together remains to be seen .

I'd like to think it would lead to big changes but, as usual, I'm Scully the sceptic.
I believe the concerts are all simulataneous because some guy was talking about how this one director was going to have to splice footage from all locations into one feed live tomorrow to be broadcast on TV.
I imagine U2 will try and steal the show, Pink Floyd will probably get raptous applause too.
I'm routing for dear Snow Patrol. Yay.

Hopefully Snow Patrol's singer wont berate the crowd like he did when i saw them : P
I wonder if the Pink Floyd climax might seem an odd choice , after blistering U2 and Coldplay shows , and Snow P atrol of course : P

Really? What did he say? "Naughty, naughty, people settle down!" ??
I think they should end the show on the highlight of our charts - the Crazy Frog.

Ah, Ash. Ash should have been supporting them! Blighters.
I'd have sung along...or course I'd have made up half the words but it's the thought that counts.

He was saying " cheer up ! its FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! Have fun for once in your miserable lives!!!"
I think he was anti our cool London aloofness : P

Oh, so you were all going for the casual, brooding, too-cool-to-cheer look?
It was frosty at the Snow Patrol gig. Snar.

i thinkk it was just they were a band with no songs anyone knew and we werent all mad for it , and he took offence : P Ash went down a storm though , a man lept off a balcony and landed on the stage , remarkable , i'll be hoping for similar theatrics tomorrow

I thought the Coldplay/Richard Ashcroft song was great, I liked the Stereophonics, Velvet Revolver (no matter what Jonathan Ross says!), Madonna was good too - she gave a good performance, Snow Patrol were alright but I was disappointed that when the singer sang "Run" it didn't have any of that lovely huskiness to it!
Bah.
Still, overall quite entertaining.

I did wonder during Velvet Revolver if enough people there would really know who they were : P , they were good though I missed the beggining and was rocked to find that theyd decided to put U2 and Coldplay on at about 6am ! : P Of the people i saw , i was most impressed with Pink Floyd , i was a bit sceptical when they did the first couple of songs, I was never keen on 'money' : P but when the spangly guitar intro to 'wish You Were Here ' started up i was overjoyed : P then to follow it with a staggering performance of Comfortably Numb , i declared them the best of the Day ! (even though i missed the U2 and Coldplay : P) Snow patrols singer can never do that song well live : P

I missed Pink Floyd and Robbie Williams and The Who because...I just did.
Coldplay and U2 were on at 1pm not 6am. Silly.
