Really sorry James >< But don't worry you can still do your own version, same with you Spuffy.
I’m Not DONE!
Summary: *sniggle* The Slayerfest Version of what SHOULD have happened at that ending. Buffy hears Rona’s comment at the end and snaps. Oneshot
Buffy stood there, staring at the group of people before her. These where her friends! Her family, people who had been there with her through think an thin… she had died for them, died to protect them, and now because one group of people died!... it was over?
She could feel the tears coming to her face as everyone had plainly turned their back on her, she knew she was right. Something was down there and Caleb was hiding it from them. SHE KNEW IT!
And now… she had nothing.
Buffy stood their in the house, surrounded, the fear of Closter phobia came over her as they just stared. And then… the final blow.
Before she could speak she saw her sister come towards her. No… Not Dawnie ANYTHING BUT DAWNIE!
Buffy held herself standing because when she saw her younger sister come towards her, she knew what this meant, deep down she knew.
Dawns lips parted as she clenched her fist, but she knew it had to be done, Buffy was irrational and would kill more innocent girls if something wasn’t done.
“Then you can't stay here. Buffy, I love you, but you were right. We have to be together on this. You can't be a part of it… So I need you to leave. I'm sorry, but this is my house, too.”
Buffy could feel her legs buckle under her body, but she used all of her strength to keep them up, she wanted to scream. WHY! SHE WAS FUCKING RIGHT. But Buffy was going to do the noble thing, yes… her sister was right – this was her house too, so she would respect their wishes and leave.
Choking back tears she nodded, turning back to stare at her friends she struggled not to cry before nodding and forcefully pushing past Wood and Dawn, she had to get out there before she cried, she couldn’t take this. She loved these people dearly. But they didn’t understand the concept of War. She thought Faith did, but she guessed wrong.
Grabbing her Jacket she closed the door gently when a soft exhale of relief fell from everyone. Rona smiling happily and resting her arm in the cast onto her knee.
“Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead,” she said happily which got a smile from some of the people. The original Scoobies. No.
Dawn turned to stare at Rona, a growl threatening to build in her throat as tears came to her eyes.
“Shut. Your. Mouth.” She spoke between a clenched jaw. Faith was preparing to leave but Wood stopped her, and for a very good reason.
-
Buffy stood on the porch, the blood rushing to through her ears as she heard Rona’s comment, Witch… WITCH! At first she wanted to cry, but now!... now this was personal. She might not be their leader, but she wasn’t some flunky. She was a Slayer.
She still was the one that stopped the Apocalypse, killing the man she loved, and jumping into the void herself. Faith seemed to enjoy trying on Buffy’s skin, her job, her life. Well time to try on Faiths.
A smile came across her tear stained cheeks which became a determined. She could already hear the bickering about what they should do, filled with confusion these people knew nothing of what they had to do. Well she was about to show them how terrible these people could be.
Anger over flooding her she walked towards the door of her home, she knew if she simply knocked no one would let her in. So she didn’t knock.
The door to the home flew off its hinges and up the stairs splintering into a million pieces.
All of the girls screamed and everyone immediately thought Caleb. Faith and the girls with training ran towards the chest, reaching in and grabbing weapons, preparing to fight back against him if he came in.
But in stepped Buffy, her hands placed firmly on her hips as she bit back tears seeing her family. Arms were raised against her, Kennedy, Willow, Anya, Giles, Faith, Rona, Amanda, Dawn, hell even Andrew had a weapon which was disturbing in its own sense.
“I want to talk to Rona,” she said with a stern voice. Everyone knew that in translation she wanted to beat the girl senseless until the cows came home.
Giles stared at her in disbelief, what was she thinking, she would never harm a hair on these girls head, but he knew that she wouldn’t touch her family. So they’d have to be put in between her Rona.
Robin was the first to advance on her. Buffy didn’t even acknowledge him until he got to close. Then she simply shot her fist up, smashing him in the cheek and sending him into the door frame, smacking his head off the door and allowing him to drop. She could see the blood dripping out of his mouth. Hmm maybe she hit him a little too hard. Nah, he needed it.
Faith was angered, and Buffy loved seeing that, the woman who had taken everything from her, well now it was time to finish their fight. Neither had won, well so far it was really 1 for Buffy. Now lets see if we could make it 2.
Faith ran at Buffy, who drew back, her arms coming up in an ‘x’ to block her attack against her chest. She pulled up Faiths locked arm and then released it, pulling her foot back and embedding the heel into her stomach. Faith groaned but could always take harder hits and Buffy knew that.
Faith twirled her body around, her hair flipping in Buffy’s face temporarily blinding her and then delivered a blow to her face. Buffy shot back and hit the banister of her home, shaking it off when she could tell that her nose was busted, oh well, small price to pay. Buffy came back at Faith, elbow out and hit her right between the breast, jabbing her rib cage painfully and in that moment that she caved over.
Faith was hunched over and Buffy took that chance. She grabbed Faiths hair and pulled her head into her knee with a crack. Faith dropped to the ground next to Robin, only she was still awake.
Buffy pulled her foot up and smashed up under Faiths chin and then she dropped, her eyes shutting as she began to sleep.
Now she wasn’t.
Okay time to move on, everyone else had a weapon. Giles had the sword, Kennedy a cross bow, Amanda a staff, Anya had another sword, Andrew… a bottle of holy water (Oh! If he got that on her new expensive, designer coat she was going to rip him a new one!) an Dawn a stake. God! These people had the wrong weapons to be fighting Caleb if she was him. Rona could wait. She wanted to explain a few things to her friends as they were down for the count.
She ran at them, which surprised them for the least about, and in the shock Kennedy fired the cross bow, missing Buffy by a mile, she was going to be the first one down.
Buffy ran towards them, pulling her fist back and hitting Kennedy in the gut, knocking the wind out of the girl, she grabbed her then by her arms and flipped her over her, gripping her one arm and smashing her off the ground. Kennedy gasped at the pain in her ribs and her arm as Buffy twisted it .. gently a pop could be heard, she didn’t break the bone but simply popped it out of socket.
Giles regrettably pulled down his sword in hopes to hit Buffy. But he had taught her well. Leaning her body side ways she let out a fierce kick which sent the older watcher flying against the fireplace, the trinkets and picture of Joyce hitting him in the head, his body sliding down against the pit. Buffy had the sword since on his way by it had dropped into her hand. She saw Anya, Dawn and Amanda.
Buffy made a step for them and Anya swung, she didn’t care who she hit but she was aiming for Buffy, to bad she had her eyes closed when she was swinging and Buffy used the end of the sword to smash it into her face, sending her back into the couch and into Xander’s arms.
Buffy panted heavily as she stared at her fallen comrades, the ones that she put out. They weren’t ready – if she could do this than it was hopeless for them.
Buffy dropped the metal sword, the sword bounced off the wooden floor making much commotion. Most of the girls were huddled in a corner none of them seeing battle. But they all saw what Buffy did.
Dawn and Amanda stood firmly in front of Rona, who was huddled in a corner gripping her dagger close to her chest. Dawn stared at her sister sternly but Amanda. She dropped the staff, not bothering – there was nothing she could do, she could let Buffy pass or get beaten up and have her pass. But Dawn stood strong.
Buffy wasn’t going to hit her sister, but if it came to it she’d have to. Dawn’s face dropped and as did the stake in her hand, she too backed away. And Xander couldn’t do much of anything so he would just have to sit by and watch. She was nearing Andrew who was shaking with the Holy Water, trying to undo the cap.
“THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELLES YOU!” He yelled out in a cracked voice, it looked like he tried to fling it at her… but ended up covered in Holy Water.
Dear God!
Buffy’s eyes rolled as she shoved Andrew to the side… he was such a knob.
Buffy could see Rona now, she was shaking and left with no defense she looked so scared, and that took all of the fun out of it. Bending down Buffy stared at Rona with her eyes, a smile coming to her lips as she stared at the girl with the dagger, she was so weak and helpless… Now Buffy knew how Caleb thought, how he acted. She enjoyed her cowering in fear, much like Caleb was enjoying the fact that they were in fear as well. She couldn’t help but smile. And then pushed herself to her feet.
“LISTEN UP!” Buffy yelled out, even her fallen comrades could hear her, they just couldn’t move or speak, and those that could – wouldn’t.
“If I was Caleb, you’d all be dead right now… simple as that. He might not leave the Wine Cellar right now, but soon – he will. And when that happens you have to be ready. I’m not your leader anymore so Hell, do whatever you what. But I’m telling you this now.
“He could have killed all of you, without a second thought. You girls… I know you don’t want to die, I didn’t. And my friends I know you don’t want to get them killed. But this is War. People die… and if they don’t, then what the hell are we fighting. Caleb demands War and he’s getting it, and he’s winning… We’re dying.” She said sternly. Staring at her companions, they were all silent but knew she was right. War demanded death, that was why it was good to have War on your side, but right now they were against it.
Buffy stared down at Rona, who was still shivering – she had lost her spark in beating the crap out of Rona.
Buffy kicked her foot up smashing it into Rona’s face causing the girl to topple over in a mess, gripping her bruised chin as she whimpered.
Well… almost.
And with that Buffy left. Tears falling down her face finally – finally she had allowed herself to cry. She cried for what she had done to her friends and what they had done to her. So she gripped her arms and walked away from the broken door and down the sidewalk, into the night.
-
The girls slowly came out of their hiding spaces as the Scooby Gang began to recover, slowly one after the other. Pulling themselves from the wreckage, and nursing their broken body parts.
While Andrew just stood happily bouncing on his heels in the middle of the room holding the empty bottle of holy water which he was dripping off.
“So… Anyone wanna play Dungeons and Dragons? I call being the Dungeon Master!”
- that was about 4 pages long, I could have made it longer, but I ran out of things to say... Lol. Hope you liked ^_^
