Hahah! Are you talking about that wig at the end Syd's wearing? hahaha < of laughter. That was hilariously bad. Hmm, I thought the episode was kind of disappointing actually. hahaha. Sorry. I'm still laughing from the wig flashbacks. I mean, how the HELL did Vaughn survive getting shot in the chest that many times, then survive surgery, then be coherent enough to pick baby names? Pah. They just wanted the big dramatic death scene. Aww he's left the show! Although, he will be guest starring on Kitchen Confidential apparently. ANYWAY, the actual death scene was quite sad and you just knew he wasn't going to survive when Sarah McLachlan started crooning out a song. No one ever lives when her deathly melodies play. I felt this episode had too much going on, and they should have spaced it across two eps. The bit at the end in London - hilarious wig notwithstanding - was really unneeded. I mean, I don't think we should have whizzed ahead in time for 4 months. We missed an important part of Syd's depressive phase. Although, I suppose they had to do it just so she could say "You don't know me very well". Or whatever. I thought the scene in car with Syd and Vaughn was awkward. But that's mostly because I know the actors are ex's and that she really is pregnant and married to someone else now but he still has to kiss her and act like a couple and act like they're having a baby. Hard work. No wonder he left. I miss Nadia. I thought Weisz would be more upset about his dead best friend and comatose girlfriend. I was sure Jack was going to cave in and give Syd a hug like they feel the need to in every TV series even though it wouldn't happen in real life. I salute Alias for sticking to Jack's anal-retentive nature. Also, the scene at the beginning? Wasn't that different? I don't remember a cornfield. Woo long review.

That was the wig in question It was hideous and the least incognito monstrousity anyones ever worn on their head I think there was a bullettt proof vest which delayed his death , or there was such a vest and his death was faked , If Sydneys in on it or not , i dont know He must be pretty gutted seeing her going off having the life he thought he'd have with her , with someone else I wanted more of WEiszxs, Marshall and Nadia, and less attention on new/guest types , If we're losing people , then remind us of our remaining heroes I enjoy Jack's awkwardness, especially when we see his selfless acts on her behalf that she doesnt know about . I wouldnt be surprised if they refilmed the start of 5 somewhere different than the end of 4 . i THOUGHT THEY LOOKED A GOOD BIT DIFFERENT SOMEHOW

Yeah, that wig was hideous and it looked like it was just resting on top of her head instead of like pinned down. Hahaha.
Well, there was blood streaming down him, so I didn't think there was a vest.
Which reminds me - why did he just stand there when those cars came towards him and started shooting that man? He should have run like hell!
There's talk that Garner got him chucked off the show (she's a producer now, I noticed. Maybe she was before and I'm just unobservant) but I doubt that.
It did seem like Marshall and Weiszziziz and Sloane were diverted to minor characters in this ep but then I guess they had to do that to give Vaughn the screen time he deserved.
A lot of people think that it's a conspiracy and he's not really dead. If so - they really went all out to make it look that way!
I think they re-filmed it. Wouldn't it have been easier to just film the next scene for Season 5 at the same time? Maybe they didn't know where they were going.

I found it odd that no one shot him in the head . I wonder is the 'producer' title just an ego boost , you hear rumours of people who just hang around getting a producer credit She did direct an ep though . The Finale/opening ep conundrums always puzzled me Theres a Friends one in a casino , yet for the opening ep of the following Season Chandlers weight has doubled

If Vaughn had worn the wig, he would have been protected from gunshots to the head.
There's a point! He never got to wear wigs! Or really elaborate costumes. That sucks.
I always think that when stars get labelled "producers" it's just a title. I mean, on Charmed both Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano are called that but not Rose McGowan cos she's too new. I don't actually know what producers do, though.
She directed an episode? I know nothing.
It's sad that now I know she's pregnant I'll be noticing all the times they put her in cardigans or heavy coats, or simply only put her face and shoulders in frame. It really detracts from the magic of the show!
Although, I suppose by speeding up the timeline by another 4 months she should be progressing quite naturally.

I think she was smuggling something under the wig Maybe Vartan's wig envy convinced him to leave ? I think a producer might be as vague as sayiing "how about if i smile cheekily at this moment instead of saucily ? ". She did a big important one last season , late on . I think her pregnancy is the main story of the season , so any hiiding of the kid will be shown or part of Sydney's disguise , maybe she'll just act like a pregnant lady to go unnoticed in some situations.

"I'm a pregnant lady! Give me the cryogenic mutation disorder chip device thingy!" It could work. Yeah, but in the first episode at the beginning they had her wear a lotta cardigans. I don't know why, she's not showing THAT much surely? I wonder if it annoys the writers when they have to quickly think of a storyline to incorporate this sort of thing. It's not like they wanted her to get pregnant. I'm sure they'll be writing into contracts a "no pregnancy" clause now.

Or cut her hair into a mullet. Although, they have enough wigs on Alias to deal with that I suppose...
So, apparently, there's a chance Vaughn may be back. J.J Abrams said that just because Vaughn isn't in an episode "doesn't mean he isn't there" and that people should look for clues.
Dear lord! They can't have another person "come back from the dead" it'll get like Dirty Den.
Although it might make sense why Syd and her dad just stared at each other after Vaughn passed away and she didn't look that upset. Also, if it was a hoax that might be why Jack didn't hug her. Oh, curses! And there was me thinking that they were staying true to his staunchy character.
I wonder if Syd will get a new man this season...OMG LIEK WOAH! Marshall & Syd can finally happen!
*is bitter about Weisz*

It would be quite funny if Weisz and Syd got together and then Vaughn came back and was all "Hey! How could you do this to me! You knew I wasn't dead, Bristow!" And she'd reply "Shut it, Andre. I was just waiting for an excuse to land me a bit of Weisz action"
