I got this from Slayerverse - -------- James in Smallville? James Marsters is set to play in "Smallville". Rumours fly high and the only thing for sure is that wants to. Let us see when James will clear up this information. The James role will be recurring and not just a simple guest appearance. He will play a charakter named Zod. ------ James Marsters as Zod? O-kay. Still, I want it like a starving woman wants Rich Teas.

It's like the Buffy/Smallville crossover I've been dreaming of has come to life! But without actual Buffy characters, just the actor. I hope to see him on there, though Zod is an odd name.

Zod is like a supervillain! Now, usually I'd be the first to cast JM in almost any role - just witness my DW/Alias/Max Payne/X-men/Eastender'sGayMan rant but as Zod? That's gonna be a stretch.

This means he'll be evil...hmm... Evil JM... I'm going to go research the character, as I do with everything else. Decide if I like him in the role.

I just figured out that back when CoA was the old CoA someone was posting a bunch of Zod stuff. I found the site they linked to one time. So THAT is Zod.
Weird.

JM would be a great Zod The man currently doing the voice of Jor El played Zod in the films Theres a BTVS writer on Smallville , I think Drew Greenberg and he was drooling over JM's cheekbones in a DVD commentary , so im sure he's doing all he can to make it happen I'm a bit deflated by the two latest JM Slayerverse headlines though , "Spike movie Official!!!" which was seemingly balls and this Smallville story . I'd love to be proven wrong on both counts

Just so long as I get to see JM again, I think I'll be happy. I just hope he doesn't fade away into nothingness as some actors and actresses do.

I know, the Spike movie thing seemed so fake. This did too but I just had to speculate on seeing those cheekbones again! And next to Tom Welling's glowing teeth. Could it get any better?
There's a Buffy writer on the Alias staff as well....

Okay, there's TWO BTVS writers on the Alias team. Drew Goddard or something.

I doubt he'll play Zod but there's a good chance he may play someone else. Any speculation as to whom?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that JM will play...Lois Lane! Ooh, he might be Jimmy Olson...although he'd look way too old but yeah.
People seem to think he'll be a villian though.

Theyve shown Spinal Tap's Michael Mckean as Perry He'd do a sterling job though Chloe would be rocked if he turned up as Jimmy after their filth marathon Maybe he'd expose it as a lie and just her making it up It seems the big star for next season will be Dean Cain , that still good
