I was thinking the same exact thing, it would be fantastic if they had Gene go into the future, in Sams time and sam would be surprised to see him, and he'd be the new DCI at the 2007 station and says "Right you poncy gits take your MP wee players and stick them up your Micro Caves! lets do some work!" and Sam would be demoted due to Crazy "I went to 1973! i really did ask my mum!"ness and Sam would tell him how to work microwaves and about the internet (Gene would give up but Sam would make him try again and then Gene would look for porn on the net and say "This is great! " it would be fantastic.) and then they'd get transported to the 90s and Sam would have to tell him about MTV being a music station that has reality tv on it 24/7 and the beef between 2pac and Notorious B.I.G and about 90s slang words like "da bomb" "word to your motha!" "take to the hand!" and Gene would complain about Windows 95 it would be fantastic.

But its horrible to go back to that after you've been using the nwer version ones for so long
