My sister and her boyfriend were around the other day and the Manic Street Preachers/Cardigan Lady song came on. They - the supposed music experts - were all like "Oh, they have a new singer." "Maybe she's just a guest singer."
I was thinking "THAT'S THE CARDIGAN SINGER LADY, YOU FOOLS!!"
Smugness.
She should wear an actual cardigan

Good old Nicky Wire what a troublemaker : Nicky Wire: 'Snow Patrol are Britain's most hated band' Manic Street Preacher has harsh words for V Festival co-headliners 7 hours ago Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire has told NME.COM he'll be avoiding this year's V Festival co-headliners Snow Patrol. The Welsh trio are set to play the Channel 4 Stage over the weekend (August 18,19) but the bassist will not be making time to catch the Scottish-based band's performance ahead of Foo Fighters on the main stage. "Snow Patrol is the biggest divide in Britain. They're probably the biggest band in Britain, but they're also the most hated," he declared. "It's a weird dichotomy for them. They are utterly deplorable, there is something unredeemingly utterly shit about them, you just cannot put one's finger on. "It's a desperate form of music, the endless repeated lines, over and over, the same drab fucking little thing on and on and on. They're the great losers turned into the great winners, that's their redemption. I won't be watching them." i hope theres onstage slaggings off between them

crikey heres one to make you think not me though honest Music fan fined £109,000 for file sharing American woman hit with fine after sharing MP3s online 2 hours ago An American woman has been fined £109,000 for making 1,702 music files available to share online from her home computer. Jammie Thomas, 32, from Minnesota, had contested the charges, which led to the large fine being accumulated. Normally law-suits against file sharers end with a fine of a few thousand pounds. It is likely that the fine, which will be distributed among various record companies, will mean that around a quarter of Thomas' income for the rest of her life will go towards paying it off. Richard Gabriel, the prosecuting lawyer, said, "This does send a message, I hope, that downloading and distributing our recordings is not OK." Around 26,000 illegal downloaders and file-sharers have been sued by record companies worldwide so far crikey
