the shows a hit at work one bloke records it on his supercool dvd recorder and another says its his dads favourite show

I told you it was good! its so good even people's dads like it! it reminds them of the old days, the old Misogynistic, irish hating days when medium sized hair styles that looked good on men and weren't seen as girly

I love how Life On Mars is the "one to watch" every tuesday for the bbc it's obvious its one of the best shows they have

I love the clip shown for todays, "It's Called Survelliance" "doesn't sound very manly does it?" haha oh Gene, just admit it, you want Sam's man children.

its certainly a big part of the appeal the son of the dad was saying how he cant be bothered to join in now as he wont know whats going on i pointed out that it doesnt matter and the rantings of gene dont need a knowlege of the backstory to appreciate

when sam called the mint custard a triumph i was over the moon
the bit where he had the look on his face not knowing who Gordon Browns wife was was great aswell

the outrageously sexist banter about the date Chris went on truly offended my senisbilities !

actually it was not only in the papers but one the bbc "don't miss this show tonight" bit as well, the bbc would have probably given them 100 seasons, if the writers didn't decide to stop it

TONIGHT'S EPISODE WAS BRILLIANT! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS

God, I really love this show, it's amazing, not one episode is bad, every episode seems to be better or as good as the last one, some fantastic writing and acting, I think it's probably in the top 10 of my best shows ever list now

haha I loved the mint custard reference, he's so quiet and serious, but he's a genius when he wants to be ohh mint custard, I loved having it in primary school nice breath and everything! I loved the food in this episode, pineapple on a stick how fancy! well it was in the 70s!

The Tony Blair/Cherie/Gordon thing was fab I would have done that too "Hi I'm Kate moss, this is my husband Pete Doherty and our children George Bush and Saddam" haha it was great, I thought that Gene might be John Prescott but hes much better looking, maybe a little less foul mouthed

The "Upstairs, Downstairs" talk was fantastic so vulgar and sexist what else would you expect? I loved that they were still talking about it at the Morgue dead bodies going past, and all they can talk about is coping off with a girl the look Sam gave them was fab he was like "wtf? have some respect!!!" my icon maker came out watching that scene, it was iconable (when their was a wide angle, and you could fully see ray, chris and Gene )

Poor Chris getting vomited upon, I actually laughed before either Ray or Gene, hahaha, poor guy, he's so sweet, he'll laugh with the boys and make sexist jokes, but he does it to fit in, because hes the youngest in the group, and he can be so sweet when they're not around, like I said before, that lovely lad could get away with murder

I loved when they broke into the car place, and they shouted "THE LAWWWWW" and started to hide (haha and Gene climbed on top of Chris ) and I think it was Sam who said "WE ARE THE LAW!!!!!" fantastic

The swinging party was great! I really liked Annie in this episode, she showed a different side to her, rowr fiesty

I LOVED THAT GENE TURNED UP! haha with a prostitute oh I love 70s policemen from manchester and his shouting! hahahaha, Gene? shouting! he met his match he looked fantastic when he ran out of the room all the gene lusters watching the show thought "oh I wish he would run out of my room too "

oh hell I'd let him get away with murder too, he cheated on his wife but I didn't mind, I wanted him to get together with the blonde journalist (THE SNARK spuffy much? ) from series 1 (if he didn't civil partnership Sam ) before I found out about his mrs, aww at him mentioning her and his mother being worried about them, aww hes a mama's boy

i did think it seemed like the best ep so far yesterday and thats withoutt even being a first ep/finale thing

pineapple on a stick is still the height of sophistication i'll have you know

i think id have been a liam oh wow why wasnt gene presscott that would have been so perfect

the scene with them all sat there talking that way looked great then you realise what theyre talking about and where they are its like seeing sweary vulgar stuff in a film and you get surprised then realised youre only surprised to finally be seeing it on tv/film as you hear that kind of thing on a daily basis

i definitely paid more attention to the rest of the team this week chris did go up in my estimation his behaviour with the corpse was appalling

it was SaM HE CALLED THEM IDIOTS OR SOMETHING TOO IT WAS GREAT

it was good to see Annie poshing up
yeah those millions and millions of gene lusters

the bit with them promising the mum of the coronation street girl that theyd get her back it was great and showed their caring side

It was fantastic! and the news episode looks great too, TWO REALITIES/TIMES MIXED UP! very "that buffy episode where she is in a mental hospital"esque

nothing like a cheese and pineapple hedgehog on a (70s themed) friday night

and Pere Doherty could be Noel! no scrap that Carl Barat, hes a better older brother to have AS SOON AS GENE CRASHED THE PARTY I THOUGHT "HE'S PRECOTT" but than they had to ruin it all by saying "Gordon Brown" although those two fighting over who controls the department was very Tony/Gordon like

haha its exactly like that " how disgusting I would never do that! *gossips with mate about a bird you pulled last night/Possible Love interest and turns into cheeky lad mode, pretends he isn't gossiping because thats "girly" stuff"

haha and sam said "thats someones daughter!" or something like that haha that was a great scene.

haha it was, I love the way they all panicked, and just stood there, they'd make crappy robbers

damn the way she handeled that perfume girl, running up to her, rowr, I was suprised she didn't pull her hair aww and Gene praised her at the end, hope she's like this in the rest of the series

they make up at 98% of LoM viewers the others are straight men who think hes cool, but won't admit that he is a man-crush

Yeah they turn to mush when old ladies are involved I think that shows that Gene is a mamas boy or just respects older ladies, It shows his softer side, like he was when he gave that old lady in that episode some biscuits and called her "love" in his lovely manc accent

other bits I loved in last nights episode was Gene eating the sherbat or whatever it was, haha with his moustache and when he was talking about finding the killer, but then paused and declared it was Beer Time

I hope his wife is like that (AND AN EX-HIPPIE! ) I'd like to think of him as the type of man who is faithfull to his wife, and loves her, and is sweet to her (if not all the time, sometimes ) but wouldn't say no if a lass wanted to kiss him I don't think he cheated on her because he still had his clothes on, but I hope he isn't the type to do it usually

crikey this shows gotten to a stage of excellence that all our posts about it must take 30 minutes to write and its an uk show for now

Carl is a much more heroic figure deserving a mention/cameo

i love how they can get in modern realness as its dressed up as old 70s stuff im not like them at all


yeah she attacked toyah like she was a murder suspect i bet she'll haveas big a role as sam in the new series

is Chris due for a accent and nationality operation or something? I thought they banned those in the early 70s must have been 1974

I hope she doesn't get a bigger role than Gene since I hope he's the main character (he is one of them In LoM but its kinda revolved around Sam ) but it'll be great to see her in the spin off, she'll probably marry Chris or something like that

in some cultures it would be different!!!

haha yeah that was genius I laughed out loud when Gene siad his "name" what will next episode's villian be called, "Liver The Pool!"

Theyre delaying the american version its going to be one of those mid season replacements for a cancelled show

yeah it should just be mainly gene but her as the second most used character i wonder if we'll see gene at home or just the same as now

i can see chris explaining that one awkwardly and not too diffusingly

It was great, not as good as the week befores, but still fantastic

CHRIS'S "MOUSTACHE" haha was fantastic yeah I'm sure it was terrible being surrounded by schoolgirls

if I was on drugs (that were illegal!) this episode would seem weird maaaan, sam is watching everyone on tv and your watching him watching everyone on tv? trippy maaaaan.

Gene really is a tart with heart it was lovely that he got so involved with the case (Even if he got everything wrong ) and that he got so depressed he decided not to have his hair trimmed I like his hair long, but not that long
