I think they should have cast an unknown, like they did with Superman. Give someone new a break!

Yeah true! I think out of all the cast membersm Bosworth and Spacey are the worst choices in their respected roles! Mr. Depp should've been cast as lex!

I saw the trailer for this in the cinema, or "teaser" what-ever. I'm still not very excited about it though but for a glorious few seconds my friend and I thought it was a trailer for X-men 3.

Wow, I just read a lot of stuff about how many production/casting problems this film had and how many re-writes. David Boreanaz auditioned for Superman but couldn't do it due to Angel scheduling! I bet he was bitter. Other potentials included Nicholas Cage, Josh Hartnet, Paul Walker, Ashton Kutcher, Evan Mariotte and practically everyone else. Justin Timberlake was offered the part of the "newly gay" Jimmy Olsen but then he was upgraded to getting an offer of playing Superman!  Which he turned down Cos the script was so crap. Potential Lois' included: Keri Russell (J.J Abrams must love her...he did a version of the script that was WACK, yo), Lara Flynn Boyle, Jessica Biel and Beyonce Knowles! What the crap. Oh and Smallville nearly got cancelled because the WB didn't want to split the viewing figures over the same characters and stuff. What...? So it was THIS close to being cancelled but when people heard there was uproar so instead they just put strict limitation on them not to use any living Kryptonians on them. Meaning a Zod ep was scratched...(mmm okay...that's interesting considering...) |

i remember Josh Hartnett moaning that theyd offered it to him 5 times and he kept ssaying no .
Kevin Smith was given the chance to write it at one point and was happy to be involved , but he got axed when burton came on board . His script is online and easily findable .
