* I'd like to comment on the recent spate of murders in Ipswich. Why is it always women who get murdered? It's so out of order. Murder in general is rude, but really.

we were discussing today how to be a serial killer in this dnas era should be much harder , but these women were seemingly all killed before even one was found , their missingness not treated too urgently maybe , it seems such an old fashioned thing to be happening .

But that may not be the case! Out of the two they found yesterday one of them has only been missing since Saturday. So they actually reckon it's ongoing, and has been happening more frequently since the media coverage.

I think if it was people they had deemed to be "upstanding citizens" they'd pay it more attention in the beginning instead of just being like "oh well." As it is now, they HAVE to pay it the due attention regardless of the victim's job.

I think the tabloids are loving every aspect of it now , the prostitution/drug addiction stories and orphaned kids are all their usual faveourites .

I hate all the "Ripper" comments. There's no ripping! As far as I know. I don't want to think too much about that actually.

It just sods me off how every other word about these women is that they are protitutes and then they have family and "friends" commenting on "how she used to be such a nice girl" and how they're all drugged up.

-- Even if they are/were - so what? That doesn't need to affect the story at all. Being an addict and/or a prostitute doesn't matter. They should have to respect.

people just feel more sympathetic if they know these people were once 'normal ' as the world of drugs and prostitutes seems unreal to alot of people sso the idea that people involved in that get murdered wouldnt raise as many eyebrows or get much sympathy .

Two were poisoned, possibly by heroin, and one was strangled. I don't know about the latest two.

Well, people need to grow up. Sex is real, knobheads! Get over it.

i think its more that you dont want to believe youre a possible target than not caring about those people , its like when i hear someones died and immediately want to hear ''they smoked 80 a day you know '' to feel like im in the clear .

i heard talk of a dna sample , but they can usually tell from strangluation marks , hand sizes and things like that , and from past cases , the profile is of a man aged 25 to 40 who works odd hours , (it wasnt me guv )
